He will do well there. They have resources and they put them to use in soccer. Memphis doesn't put squat into MEN's soccer. They were lucky to keep Grant so long.

Wow, he's a dear family friend of my sister and her husband. They live in Cali as well... so that will be good for them.

High school? Richie doesn't recruit high school players. High school soccer sucks. I saw Richie at a CBHS game with Richard Bute and Tony Carbognony and they could not believe how bad the quality of play was considering ALL of the CBHS players were top level club players. What club did you play for?

It was 1.5 not too long ago. It changed Richie's recruiting strategy in that he needed in-state lottery kids. That hurt. Now we can go to soccer states and recruit. As for the full amount? Indiana recruits saying everybody is on full scholarship. Guessing some of that is academic.

Sells itself how? Doesn't seem like a particularly nice place to live and the campus doesn't seem too good either.

You think he might've meant high school age? I'm pretty sure most of the guys Richie recruited were coming out of high school unless they were Juco's or transfers.

I'm probably biased because my kid trained at a high level, but high school soccer in Texas, Florida, Cali and North Carolina might be relevant. Hell, even club soccer around here is lacking. I'm not sure why high school bios are even mentioned. A high school soccer team is as good as it's club players at best. Throw in gawd awful coaching and players lose skill, touch, fitness, and strategy. I say this with my kid having played for the best high school program in the region, if not one of the best in the nation.

I agree with high school soccer being pretty bad. I hated playing for the exact reasons you stated. I wasn't being recruited because of my play with the high school, it was when he saw me play club
