UL-L vs Boise State 2014
I know this is a bit off but anyone making the trip or thinking about it? I might try and swing it. I'm from Boise and this looks to be a very interesting game. Will be at least one new HC leading a team, maybe 2. Both coming off bowl seasons.

If anyone needs Boise hangout suggestions hit me up. COGS

RE: UL-L vs Boise State 2014
Harsin moving from ASU to Boise certainly makes this an interesting game to watch. He obviously knows the Cajuns, and will know the talent on the field. Question is will he have learned anything new about how to stop the Cajun running game, or does Boise really have superior talent to SBC schools, and can they just use that talent to win.

This game, and ASU's home game against Utah State next year are two of the bigger nonconference G5 games the Belt has had in a while. Both are top level MWC teams, and offer us a chance to prove how far the Sun Belt has come as a league the last few years.

Forgot he was at ASU. Even more interesting! Also random question for Vandal fans. What airport do you use if you fly in to see a UofI game. Spokane? WASU's?

Nice JD I like the way you snuck in your UL-L and tried to distract us with the Boise St question. We may not have attended Tulane but some of us work in the Intelligence Field.

I'm going to continue to refer to the team from Lafayette as Cajuns. Also seemed the best way for a stAte fan to navigate those tricky Louisiana name issues.

Hopefully stAte and the Cajuns can get a couple of wins against those Mwc teams.

I plan on going, but that is a big if being oil field trash doesn't equate well to planning out that far. I am a 24 hour call employee so I am a slave to the evil Halliburton empire.

I have been to Boise and trained at their facility on my quest to make the Olympic Trials before an injury derailed my dreams.

But he really doesn't want to offend anyone, really. I know because he told us so.

Boise was pretty cool. Not my favorite small city but I had fun. In that part of the country, hell my favorite city period is Seattle. I love that place.

RE: UL-L vs Boise State 2014
The Cajuns need to spank Boise for the good of the conference. Boise has offered several kids from Alabama and one from Arkansas since Harsin took the job. No doubt that he hired Eli Drinkwitz to try and get kids from the south to go to Boise. It will be a tough sell if they don't maintain the mystique that they gained under Petersen playing in the weak WAC. Go kick their butts and remind recuits from the SBC region that Idaho is not a place they want to spend 4 or 5 years. Hint: there will be a lot of running the ball up the middle and WRs running 30-40 yd routes so stop that.

I usually fly into Spokane. You can also fly into Lewiston or Pullman but your options won't be as good as Spokane.

Definately Spokane. Only a couple airlines service Lewiston and Pullman last I checked (Alaskan/Horizon and Skywest) and they have to have smaller planes to do it.

Regarding the main point of this thread, MWC v. SBC teams this upcoming season, we'll just have to see. I think UL-L is catching BSU at a good time. They are definately not their old selves. UL-L can and should compete with them. Just don't get freaked out playing on that gawd-awful blue turf. I think USU will be tougher, because their QB Chuckie Keaton will be back. That kid is amazing. Idaho will play SDSU in November next season also for another MWC v. SBC matchup.

I like the turf but my high school played on it so nostalgia might be winning.
