I have a feeling it's not a name we've heard. Misdirection play by Mackin. I may be wrong. I think Clark or Roberts would be good hires.

Maybe it's a test of his will. You are our new coach, but you have to do at least three interviews wherein you look people in the eye and flat-out lie to them. No winking either.

Why get worked up about his coach speak? Suppose the Dragon's theory: a source knows that the two sides have spoken, and it went well. Clark hasn't been offered the job, or is unsure if he's the final choice. Why would you not deny it to your current employer?

We are interviewing for Head Football Coach not IT Manager. Most of your candidates are well known in the coaching/AD circles. If anything, working out the contract details/asst coaches packages takes longer than the interview process.
