Ah fair enough, I had assumed too much

I hadn't paid much attention to my Smile donations and unfortunately JMU lost out on about $250 from me since it must not have been set up with Amazon. I just switched to the Wounded Warrior Project. I realize mine would have only been $250 but could be a significant amount of money not realized.

Not sure that "JMU" itself is on Amazon Smile but the JMU Alumni Association is an organization you can support through this initiative. I have been applying mine to the JMUAA since I learned of it and it does not generate ALL that much money but every bit helps!

Ahem. Not up to speed here with all the Masters of the Universe stuff like amazon prime, but how does one (the Mrs. in this instance) sign up for donating specifically to the alumni assoc or JMU directly or wherever?

One of my daily chores is to go collect all the packages off the front porch most afternoons, so may as well get some benefit for someone in the process.

Here's how to shop AmazonSmile:

4. Select your charity
5. Start shopping!

And you can't checkout on the mobile app & have it go to smile. You have to add items to your cart, then go to a real computer & do it through the smile portal for it to apply.

For google chrome users, there's an "always smile" extension that helps you avoid checking out without using the smile portal.
