I think with someone like Pastner, that if they are forced to learn something, no matter what the subject; they will learn it. It might take them longer than others for certain things, but they work so hard, that through trial and error, they are going to get it.

You usually need a "buffer guy" between the successful guy leaving and the next successful guy. Pastner may have been hired to be that buffer guy (youth, inexperience, etc.) but proved everybody wrong.

Regardless, we fell into the sewer and came out with a gem.
