It's a scary time. I hope we make a solid hire, and get it done quickly.
Word on the street is that he has contacted Staples already.
Uh oh.
Who else would he want?
Jordan Howard.
Both of them would have a hard time dealing with sitting out a year after getting so much meaningful playing time as freshmen.

I feel for Mackin on this one. On one hand, he needs to move quickly to keep the recruiting class and team together. On the other, the next head coach absolutely has to move this program forward.

Guys he recruited like Staples, Petty, Howard, Jackson........doubt if any of them get duped into going up there.
Supposedly when he talked to Staples, he talked bad about some of the guys he hangs out with and Petty is one of those guys.
I don't think Howard's going anywhere but the NFL in a few years.

Why do you feel for Mackin? He hired the clown in the first place and was given a gift when McGee quit. Or else he was stuck for atleast another 2 years.
Were just lying in the bed Mackin made. If he screws up this next hire, he has to go

in hind site, this hire did not turn out well…however, your statement acts like that was obvious at the time the hire was made, which is not accurate.
AD's get too much credit and too much blame.
if this next football hire isn't great, but we win national championships in basketball, softball and soccer, he should be fired? i realize I'm talking in extremes, but so are you
