How could you not get into it? It's the most entertaining show on TV.
For dramas I'm mostly a genre/scifi fan. I've been expanding that the past few years, but if the show doesn't catch me the first episode at all I don't go back to it.
RE: OT: Starz Programming (Da Vinci's Demons, Black Sails, etc)

Reign, I couldn't find the BBC topic page so I fugred i'd ask here. What did you think of "Time of the Doctor"?
JHG, I'm a Banshee fan, but it wouldn't be my first choice on Cinemax. That spot will ALWAYS be held by Strike Back. Far and away the most man-tertaining show on TV and I love it.
Time of the Doctor was really good IMO.

I am still trying to wrap my head around them canceling The Newsroom...I'm not happy about that one bit.
Yeah, was surprised to see that, but it's getting a third season to wrap the it up at least. The media panned it at every opportunity (especially CNN and their subsidiaries, apparently they have an issue with the indictment that the news we see is really just base entertainment and not the noble profession it portrays itself as), but I haven't met anyone that really disliked it like the critics did.

Same here...in fact, I haven't met anyone who has actually taken the time to watch the show who hasn't loved it, including people whose beliefs don't necessarily align with those of the show. It really is a very well written and acted show.

I watched the whole first season. I didn't like it. At all. While I am definitely the political opposite of the show...that is not why I didn't like it. I found too many of the characters to be annoying and the storylines to be predictable. I started season two, but just couldn't watch anymore.
