to rip him right now and say he sucks, or whatever is unreal. the man has won a lot of games for UC...has made some huge three's. Do you recall the Cuse game in the BE tourney a couple years back? He deserves better from some of the fans in here, this is ridiculous.

Completely agree. Criticism is okay, but its becoming excessive. He deserves better

SK is in a terrible slump but he's doing a great job of getting to the line while his shot is off. I know others here disagree but for the most part he's taking good shots and rushing them. 13 field goal attempts for a guy who is going to score 2,000 points is very reasonable.

RE: UC vs Rutgers Game Thread
I'm not happy with SKs shooting just like everyone else and yes, he's pressing, which is causing him to take more bad shots than normal. So this situation isn't good and he causes some angst from time to time because of it. Hopefully he comes out of it and catches fire. If he can get hot and stay hot, with the way the rest of the team is playing, we are have a shot at making a run come March.

What I love about SK is this: even with his slump and taking bad shots, he still plays "Huggins hard", or I guess I could also so "Cronin Hard" and is a leader out there and so the man, despite shooting woes, is still valuable and an integral part of this team.

And as someone who has Dish, I get NFL Red Zone, League Pass, the ESPN's, the outdoor channel, Fox Sports, the Big 10 network but no CBS sports. Up until a couple years ago, said channel didn't exist, just another way to weasel me out of more money. Seems kind of weird we can get hardly any ESPN broadcasts.

We had it with Dish. Was part of the package. Just switched back to Direct TV to take advantage of their deal...was not included. Costs me an additional 4 bucks a month and I'll cancel it as soon as the season ends.

I get CBSSN in Chicago on Dish. I'm also able to see a lot of Blackhawks and Cubs games on there too.

I saw Jaquan Parker sitting beside Caupain on the bench. It was great to see him. Was he just visiting or is he helping with the team?

I was glad to see him get playing time. He looked good out there and we're going to need him this year when the bigs get in foul trouble.

RE: UC vs Rutgers Game Thread
Kinda tying in both of the competing conversations on SK and the announcers/CBS, one point that I thought was really interesting that Steve Wolf made was when he showed a replay of one of SK's three point attempts which missed (it was one of his wide open attempts) and Wolf analyzed the shot and remarked on how, on SK's follow through, he was bouncing on his feet and the body language indicated he was thinking too much about hitting a shot - and then later on in the game, when SK finally hit the late three, Wolf tied it in with his original remarks and mentioned that on that shot, he clearly wasn't thinking too much and it showed.

I like a color guy who can teach me things. Its why I like Bob Knight, Mike Mayock, and Curt Schilling and can't stand Cris "visibly drunk by the 2nd qtr" Collinsworth, Dickie V, et al. So I definitely appreciated Wolf's contributions. And SK will work himself out of it. He'll be just fine.

Parker is an undergraduate assistant with the team. The last report I read stated that he had a few pro opportunities but he came back to finish his degree.

Big Dave was money standing in the middle of the lane in that 2-3 zone. Rutgers was completely bamboozled. They had no answers. Guess Eddie Jordan doesn't have a whole lot of experience breaking zones after spending so much time in the NBA.02-13-banana

Love watching Dave in the Zone. Unfortunetly, he isnt very good in the classic man to man. Regardless, how insanse is this defense? One day I think Mick may be famous around the country for playing D in the same way that Alabama is famous in football.

I agree. I like Wolf. It's Johannsen I can't stand.

Exactly what I was thinking. Big Dave is pretty bad in man to man. He won't be able to switch out on screens or handle the pick and roll. But he's pretty damn good clogging the lane in a 2-3 zone and blocking shots like a volleyball player.
