RE: Question about Nick King
We have a lot of mouths to feed with limited minutes. Some guys are going to get squeezed out through no fault of their own.

RE: Question about Nick King
He gets pulled every time he makes a mistake so he plays tight out there

His defense and free throw shooting have limited his minutes I believe. Still any guy that can rebound should be able to get some minutes. It's really positional more than anything. Pastner doesn't really use him at the 4 or the 5. He will put him in as a 3. The problem is that spot usually belongs to either Geron or Crawford and they don't miss many minutes.

This. You can see it every time. It's been my number one complaint about Josh from day one.

RE: Question about Nick King
Nick is a 3. That's where he needs to play. He's not a 4 and he's not a complimentary big man when we only have one true big in the game. He's a 3. When he gets solid minutes at the 3 spot, he'll produce. If he's played out of position, he'll continue to look confused and never reach his potential.

Happily, I don't think anyone distinguishes themselves on this team (of late) by rebounding. I think Nick's gotta do it with D if he wants more minutes.

I call BS. He's "tight" because he's not ready for this level. He's out of control most of the time and seems to always be in awkward positions.

Plus, he can't hit a damn ft.

He needs minutes, just like Kuran and Dom, but those three need them MUCH less than the others. I'd say Dom needs more than the other two.

RE: Question about Nick King
King needs minutes when two other bigs are in there with him. He's got some advantages at the three spot.

You can't make that kind of blanket statement. Keith Lee, David Vaughn, Askew, Boyd, Sylvester Gray, Otis Jackson! Cedric Henderson and the list goes on and on with freshman who got big minutes.
Sure King isn't on the level of some of them but you just can't make that kind of blanket statement and be accurate.
Don't get me wrong, he hasn't warranted big minutes. Not even close to that.

He is a freshman, he is learning and playing behind more experienced players. His time will come.

RE: Question about Nick King
Made a few rebounds today and seemed like he was in the flow. Made a bad pass and I don't think we saw much more of him. I think he needs to be on the court more, just not sure at what player's expense.
