The football situation this week even had me pulling for Memphis over Louisville in the basketball game Thursday.

UAB football has been held hostage since day one. That's the problem!

It's amazing how things work out for the good sometimes. I hope Charlie Strong does well at Texas! Really don't care one way or another what happens at Louisville though............don't hate them, but don't especially like them either.

I hate the bastards. I've pulled for them exactly once, in this little competition.

LOL! I remember that game. Louisville QB Browning Nagle passed for about 4,000 yards on bammer that day.

That game didn't count.

Louisville played in a dump much worse than Legion Field. I've seen it in person and it is - was.

Odd little historical footnote. The gumps' only TD came on a pick 6 thrown not by Nagle, but by WKU's new coach.

Their old fairgrounds stadium was bad. That new Papa John's Stadium is pretty nice though.

Gotta love the al.com angle with headline. UAB isn't being held hostage, this situation doesn't fit that of a hostage in any shape or form. Leave the sensationalism to the professionals.

The football convention starts today? I heard it was going to be Indianapolis this time.

I think its next week - Thurs and Fri - and just to start some legislative stuff with ADs and presidents.

1/12 - 1/15/2014 and coaches will be there. That is the reason for the extended dead period.

I've hated Louisville since Pitino was campaigning for another conference when they were still conference mates. I distinctly remember him stating the worst thing about Louisville was their membership in CUSA. I lost all respect for him then. That was before he hooked up with a ho in a bar restroom. Louisville attracts sleeze.
