I sort of got into an argument with a North Dakota State fan, and insisted to him that most of the Sun Belt could beat the Bison in football.
I fully expect you guys to hold up to that promise. Because we're better than FCS.
That is all

RE: North Dakota State
For those that have not watched North Dakota State play the Bison are not your averaged FCS team. They are very good and could beat a number of FBS teams and have! Ask Kansas State fans how good they are. Most of the FCS teams could not compete in the Sunbelt but don't be mistaken there are some FCS teams that could! And we are going to fine out just how well 2 former FCS teams compete starting in 9 months! I may be shocked but I think they will compete very well! Just my opinion from watching I-AA/FCS Football since 1984!

RE: North Dakota State
On a quick run down, I'd say this:
Idaho - I pick NDSU
New Mexico State - I pick NDSU
Texas State - I pick NDSU (but I could see it being a toss up, could be the homer in me)
Arkansas State - I pick stAte
ULM - Last year? I'd take ULM all day long. This year? I'll go toss up
Cajuns - No question. Cajuns.
Troy - Troy
USA - USA (but I could see it being a toss up, so I counter it with my Texas State pick)
Georgia Southern - NDSU
Georgia State - NDSU
Appalachian State - Mountaineers
I'd say 5-6 for them. Maybe 4-7.

Oh I have no doubt it would be a great game, I just think that the top of the Sun Belt is better than NDSU.
We rarely see SBC teams play top ranked FCS squads, so we don't have a lot to go on.

NDSU is very good and they would probably be the favorite against every Sun Belt team on a neutral field. They beat Kansas St and the Cajuns we're beat solidly by Kansas St two weeks later. Just giving my honest opinion which I am sure many will disagree with.

We all know the transitive property of football means nothing.
A Sun Belt team would not overlook NDSU like Kansas State did.

The Bison are at their Zenith or Pinnacle of strength in FCS. With their new head coach who knows what the future will bring, but to dismiss their 2013 season & saying that they couldn't play as a lower level football power...... well you do so at your own risk and damage to your pride.

No one is dismissing them, I just want a shot to beat them, because I think we can.

BisonGirl - We don't have our schedule filled for 2014. They are welcome to schedule us and get a glimpse of some real hard-nosed football!!
Sadly BG I think Chiefs Fan schedule is full in 2014!

No its not. Not officially at least. We got turned down by both UCA and Semo, so we're going to have to play another SWAC it appears. Jackson State is the rumor.
Where did you see that post at by the way?

app state was bad this year. they lost to some questionable fcs teams. i hate comparative scoring but didnt KSU beat ULL pretty handily? NDSU beat Kansas State. NDSU IMO would have won the Sun Belt this season. They were that good. Not saying we would have went undefeated or anything. ULL and ASU were good teams. And if you really think Troy is better than the Bison this season you truly are dilusional. Same with USA. They had an okay offense but were mediocre at best. Just because we play FCS doesnt mean FBS teams are better than us. How many times do the Bison have to prove this? Next season we wont be on the same level though

I think you guys would have finished behind ULL and ASU.
If you want to prove you're better...the door is open to play us at anytime. Until then enjoy your Division Two National Championships.

You have the depth to compete for one game a year. Over the course of an entire season is where I think you'd have issue.
I don't think you could keep up for a whole year. That's all.
But as it can never be proven one way or another, arguing over it is a moot point.

ASU still has that opening next year. I wonder if personally challenging North Dakota State on a message board would get their attention enough for it to happen?

If that's your logic ASU handled USA and USA throttled UL and UL beat ASU both ASU and UL shared the conference title so your logic of beating a team because another you beat won a head to head match up makes no sense. That's why the games are played on the field. Bring it on I never had Bison gumbo would love to try it.
