As ugly as some of these are they make money.
Only ones that have really struggled with sales were those Adidas Zumba unis basketball teams wore last march

Just wondering, money is made off of popular jersey sales. I'm not convinced that any of these new / ugly uniforms are increasing sales. If every new uniform was so great, then why is there even a market for throwback uniforms? Plus the "big money" is being made by the company, not the schools.

One-off jerseys and throwback jerseys both make money because they're unique. High demand, limited supply. NHL Stadium Series jerseys are great examples. Most of the L & XL Kane & Toews jerseys were gone in a day from Shop.NHL.com.
Super Bowl jerseys will be a Top 10 seller for the next two weeks - and the only difference in those jerseys from the normal ones is a SB patch.
Michigan State Rose Bowl jersey sold out in less than 72 hours.

You can throw a logo on any type of product and make money of off it. Ex) $20 piggy banks made over $40,000 for my department in 2013. And that was only off of facebook & twitter sales alone.

Nike makes a ton off of these jerseys. Retailers make a ton of these jerseys. Hence, schools make a ton of money off these jerseys. How much they make depends on how they operate their brick & mortar campus stores & ecommerce shops.

In conclusion, sports fans will buy ANYTHING! Invent a stupid product, get a license, become a millionaire.

Cannot disagree with you on this!

IF you're inventing and licensing something -- please let me know so I can send you an investment. At this point, I don't want to make a million (you can have the millions), I'd be content to double or triple what little I can give you in order to get out from under some of my bills.
