Exclamation Former players, current supporters believe that UAB can attract a quality HC
http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2014/...out_sports

"I think there was a growing dissatisfaction about him," said state representative Jack Williams (R-Birmingham). "I don't think he was going to be successful at UAB, and I don't think it's because you can't be successful but because he didn't have the mindset to be successful.

2-10 will take the wind out of your sails in a hot second. If he had gone 4-8, and Southern Miss hadn't happened, he would still be here.

I doubt that.

5-7 maybe? Or do you think he was ready to ditch anyway?

William's quote that "UAB needs to find a coach who has learned to excel with less" is telling about UAB's problems in football. He might as well have said "After 20 years in football, UAB still does not have competitive facilities, but we want you to win consistently anyways". I hope we can get a coach who can do just that.

That's exactly what Williams is saying, IMO. He and Bell (William) were at the initial rally for support of the OCS in 2011 @ the SRC on The Boulevard.

Haven't been seen or heard from since about that until this recent "setback" with McGee's disappearing act. Either of them.

What exactly do you expect William Bell to do about UAB's coaching situation?

I think he was more or less taking a shot at Bell for crawling back into his bunker and hiding until groundhog day.
