Stupid, stupid, stupid.

I know we're doing it to get more traveling fans into the Old Gray Hag, but when Troy and South Alabama beat us, think about how much harder in state recruiting will be.

Hopefully we will be ready in 2015 to beat both in state rivals. Sigh.

Awesome. We need 2 games like this every year. These games will draw fans and keep their interest yearly. I really wish we could play 2 games a year like this, and go down to 1 whore game, but I understand the economics are a big issue with that.

I'm guessing it's been in the works before yesterday morning.

& who is to say that both programs won't have a different coach by that game?

2015 we'll host GA State and USA. 2016 we'll travel to both.

We don't play Troy in 2015.

Good, I still can't get rid of the bad taste in my mouth from being there and watching us lose to start this past season.

I hope, but since it's an non conference game I would imagine the football game would be prior to basketball season.

I don't think he means playing at the same time. He means like the arrangement with Troy. We have to play them in basketball in order to play them in football

We have to play somebody. It might as well be in front of a few people.

As for impact on in-state recruiting, I don't think it matters if we lose to USA or a random bad team from Texas.

We have two away OOC games for 2016, one would assume another away buy game and a home buy game?

+1
We are already competing against AAC, SunBelt, and other CUSA schools. We win some, we lose some. We actually have higher recruiting rankings that Troy for the past 3 years. At this point there are no UAB secrets. I have no problem playing them. The excuse not to play them is the same excuse UAT has for not playing state D1 schools - everything to lose, nothing to win. Just play the game...
