It really does. MD is the second best outside shooter we have on the team. And he is better off the dribble than CC. And he's the second best FT shooter we have. His offense will help us win games. People need to get over the petty 'crap on the new guy' stuff.

Those same fans used to Boo Joe... With that said, dixons shot selection is what gets him the moan and groan treatment. He is a "chunker". JP seems to be using the bench to control that as he should... Hell, even big Dom got on him one game about chunkin an ill advised shot.

Great point. You never know when a good shot will become available; sometimes it's early in the shot clock. If Dixon gets a good look, fire away. However, he sometimes fires away whether it's a good look or not, and CJP seems to be doing exactly what you say in an effort to control that. Great coaching.

By the way... My 10 year old can handle, plays hard, good shooter... But he is a chunker! Drives me crazy!!!

Oh man, once a kid gets that 'fire away' syndrome it's hard to get rid of. Of course, at his age if he's good then it can be a benefit, but if he keeps playing there's some hard lessons coming.
