What is not just for "lower tier colleges"? And why do you thank ND for stepping away from established companies, and how does it give people more of a choice (of what?)? Under Armour is an established company.

I am glad that Under Armour hasn't ignored those middling programs in spite of having signed a top school like UT. Good to see that the plebeians are cared for as well as the mighty.

The way I read it is that Notre Dame was miffed at Adidas for paying more attention (actually paying more money) to their "new love" Michigan while ignoring their long time relationship with Notre Dame. Notre Dame felt ignored, hurt and degraded so they dumped Adidas and moved on to a new relationship with Under Armour. No story here--it happens all the time.

No, no, no. ESPN's got it all wrong. Armour is a meat packing company. ND is just getting a discount on their athletic food budget. They should be talking to UnderArmor for equipment.

(P.S. H2O, you should have caught that.)

exactly what i just said....most big named schools go to nike or adidas or reebok because of the ties to pro uni's

under armour was the red headed step child up until a couple of years ago when they showed they could compete
