Next year's guards?
What is the true word on them? I ask because it is clear to me that Shaq, Nichols (especially if bulked up), and King are going to be a killer front line. Can Wilson play the 2 guard? I know the Powell kid red-shirted, but I don't know much beyond that.

And one of the JC guys is supposed to be awesome from 3. But we really won't know about our backcourt until this time next year.

Dominic Magee certainly looks the part, Roar just retweeted a photo of him, chiseled out of freaking stone, long wing span for a guy his size.

RE: Next year's guards?
We are in great shape. Our starting backcourt next year is redshirted as we speak (Pookie and Markel). That is a rare and great situation to be in. You add Shaq, Nichols, and Woodson at the 4 and 5 spots and King and Wilson at the 3 and we are in good shape.

RE: Next year's guards?
Does Iverson play the 4 next year? Do we get a 5th yr transfer big guy? I am going to see the Southwest State guy in Feb. I have to think the jc point guard starts next season. Never been a Wilson fan.

Pookie will amaze( handles, Def shooting and play making).... Markel is long and athletic with a shot. Magee is so versatile and athletic( geron like), Woodson will may it rain from the arc.

RE: Next year's guards?
Gonna be really inexperienced next year. We had better prepare ourselves for the stark contrast to this years guards.

A lot of people are in for a surprise. The front court is going be great. We add a few good pieces to it too. I'm calling it now. Hawkins will get some decent minutes and he will average 5+ rebounds per game.

Woodson will be the starting 2. Magee and Pookie will split PG duties. Both have different styles. Magee will slash, drive, score inside, play great defense and Pookie will light people up as well as dish out a high number of assists. They will obviously make mistakes at times but we will be fine. Markel is a tough, big guard as well. I just don't know what to expect 100% from him because it will have been 2 years since he really played a game. Anything positive is gravy though.

Also, and Keith correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't it stated that Pookie was one of the best Passing PG's in the class? I know he scores a lot but he has great passing abilities and unmatched court vision.

RE: Next year's guards?
Looking forward to next year. Especially looking forward to Pookie and Magee. Pookie got a lot of media attention before the season regarding his shooting and ball handling. The conference will be weaker, so hoping the non-conference slate will be important. Maybe the schedule will be structured in such a way that the newer guys will get some experience before they go up against better competition.
