LOL! Posts like these are what are making this enjoyable. Hilarious how serious people are taking a few posts. You will have your shot UALR. 04-cheers

I didn't start this thread and didn't start talking about anyone's arena. So relax Francis. It's just MBB.

It's still an important sport for both of us, seeing as even our football team is better than yours.

Prepare yourself for more shock in 2014 and 2015.

And MBB is only important here if you win big. This ain't Memphis.

We are Memphis of the SBC.... With less tradition... With less well, we are still Memphis of the sbc 04-rock

You guys have had periods of success, like with Lefty. You are in a tough market with the Hawks, GaTech, and UGA not far away. Maybe it's changed, since I lived there, but I still don't consider Atlanta a great sports town. You are a great addition to our league and we're glad to have you. Hope you win it, if we don't. Glad to see the beating you put on WKU.

Let's hope you get Western in the first round of the SBC tournament and repeat the beating. Send them on to USA with fond memories of the SBC.
Then we won't have to play them, and probably lose again.04-cheers

RE: Dr. J, you believe me now that GaSt is pretty good?
GaState has a good news/bad news situation. Their starting five is really, really good. But four of their players are averaging over thirty minutes/game. That is VERY rare. (Not 30 minutes, but to have four players doing it.) Their good players are on the floor a lot, which you want. But it creates an issue at depth, possibly. And possibly a fatigue issue later in the season.

Also, they do not defend the perimeter very well, nor do they rebound well. So, they are either going to blow you away offensively, or not. Their offensive numbers are pretty impressive.

If they finish in the top 2 in the league, which I expect them to do, fatigue will not be an issue in the tournament of them.

Hunter doesn't play more than right players historically and we are not playing well.

Lol, that is pretty funny.

The biggest issue you will face is travel. You are on the edge of a bus league, for the most part.

Ha...we were in an airplane league for the last 7 or 8 years...I'll take a bus league any day.

Try Atlanta to Baltimore, Long Island, Philly and Boston on a regular basis.

I will not root against wku. Too many good fans and one of the best programs outside of the bcs.

Forget that! We had to fly to Wilmington, North Carolina! (our closest conference mate, UNCW, was a nearly 6 hour drive) Never mind flying to Virginia five or so times a season too.

Agreed...but for the life of me I can't find Doug's articles/interviews with CRH that really explain how bad the travel affected the team.
