As geeked as I should be for Batman v. Superman, I'm getting the vibe that it's all too much, too soon. Green Lantern and Wonder Woman are now confirmed to appear. It seems to me that WB/DC could have given these characters their own backstory film before bringing them all together.
This is turning into a full blown Justice League movie, and it just feels like a quick fix to compete with Marvel.
If they're able to land Denzel Washington or Dwayne Johnson as Green Lantern, as the latest rumors are saying, it's a huge get.
But still....I don't see how they're going to pull this off, and cram a comprehensive story involving this many major characters into a 2.5 hour movie.

I guess I don't get it having 2 of the good guys battle each other. I thought that was what villains were for. Gal Gadot for Wonder Woman I get though.
There was a 2 or 3 min clip with a great look at Wonder Woman, I think it was a girl who had been a fighter? They did it to see what it would look like on film

If Marvel can make two Thor movies work and can take a chance on guardians of the galaxy, Warner could make a reasonably priced, high quality Wonder Woman movie men would go see.
I went to see Salt and Gravity with no questions asked.

I think they'll battle each other the same way the Avengers battled each other. They'll find out the villain manipulated them.
I'm guessing Lex Luthor tricks Batman into thinking Superman has an evil plan or something.

I really, really, really hope they don't rush this just to try and get the Avengers-ish pay-off. I'm more of a Marvel guy but I love comic book movies in general and want them all to do well.
I hope DC/WB realizes the time and care that was taken over multiple individual films for Marvel to craft this movie universe that made Avengers work as well as it did. I just hope DC/WB takes their time and doesn't just throw everybody together because they have much beloved and iconic characters and just expect the same monetary result as Avengers. If anything, it will do those iconic characters a real disservice waste a real opportunity.
