No upper level seating from that document. Sell everything else first so the crowds looks better

RE: 2014 PBS UC Seating Map
So I've seen in the past that UC uses their own banners at PBS... But will the field still be "Bengalized" during UC games or will we bring out our own turf??

I would imagine that everything at PBS will be "Bengalized" as I think it would be too difficult for them (PBS) to change all the signage and field decorations in the time allowed.

Especially for one season.

RE: 2014 PBS UC Seating Map
I was told by someone in the athletic department several years ago that when the Bengals put down the new turf the end zones and center of the field would be velcroed in and could be exchanged with UC logos. This was when there was some talk about UC moving all their games to PBS. I have no idea if it ever happened.

Flags and sideline walls are easily switched out.

The biggest issue will be the contracts for sponsors.

I don't know if the center B can be swapped out but I think the banners that surround the field look to be easily changed. The current turf looks like it is one continual piece.

RE: 2014 PBS UC Seating Map
Pitt and South Florida had at least secondary markings on their NFL fields as I recall but then again they were permanent tenants. Seems PBS could add some removable markings for each of our 6 or 7 home dates as a minimum expectation.

Tangential point here but that Bengal "B" has always bugged me; you don't see the Bears using a "B" but rather their wishbone "C." The Ravens have a "B" on their helmets. To me, not using some stylized "C" just affirms it's all about their organization instead of our city. So when the locals fans finally tire of mediocrity, the Brown family can move the operation to Los Angeles or San Jose and use their same logo.

I hate the B too but for different reasons... Just liked the Bengal head and leaping tiger logos so much better

It is odd that the Bengals never really branded themselves with the city. I like the old helmet that spelled out Bengals, leaping tiger, and tiger stripes but can't stand the "B" either. I imagine that part of the issue would be that either a "C" or "Cincinnati" mark might look too closely to what UC and the Reds use. To avoid lawsuits and create a brand identity it was a safer bet to go with the "B" because its unique.

From a fan standpoint you can get away with wearing UC gear to Reds games and Reds gear to UC games because the color schemes are very close to each other. Heck I do that sometimes just because I like a certain hat or shirt. Why the logos today don't look alike the Reds' "Cincinnati" mark isn't that different from UC's vintage "Cincinnati" mark. (think throwback basketball jersey and compare that to the Reds' arched Cincinnati).

Good points about the Reds/UC similarity in response to the "conspiracy to leave town" theory. I'll add one more: I'm no Chicago Bears logo historian, but I do know they've been around a lot longer than the Bengals and are pretty well known for their use of an orange "C" and navy blue (which is mighty close to the Bengals orange and black):
