So, we've been anxiously waiting for a new DC, trusting that McGee was searching for one. Instead, we now have to wait for a new head coach and staff.

I hope we look back at this moment as a positive moment when we found the right coach.

The unfortunate thing is the timing of all of this. Hopefully, we keep who we already have "committed" and are able to snag a few more. Not sure if we will have to replace the entire staff or keep who is left for year one.

I hate to admit it, but you are right. I was on the McGee bandwagon last year, but it was real tough this year. Better times are ahead.

When is signing day? Hire a firm, take applications, do interviews. Probably no head coach on signing day

Who will coach, and what will happen with our recruits? The timing could hardly be worse.

Who's left right now? Most of the defensive staff is gone, OL coach is gone.

I'm pretty sanguine about the whole thing. Sure, the timing sucks, but we'll have a new coach in a week or two, and we'll go from there.

What I wonder is who's going to be named on an interim basis to answer the phones until the new guy is hired.

When McGee started calling around to find assistants and no one returned his calls, even the Stache could read the writing on the wall.

I doubt anyone from the Petrino tree gets interviewed.

Not talking interview, but interim until new coach is hired. They are being paid, they should be working.

Not talking interview, but interim until new coach is hired. They are being paid, they should be working.

I don't doubt the Peoples will be the man to hold it together. As recruiting coordinator, he should have every kid UAB is after on speed dial.

I think we (UAB) all feel like the guy who dated a decent looking chick (Mcgee) who gained weight and let herself go (record sucked, qb and jw debacle, being an a** clown). We stuck with her because we thought she was going to lose the weight and we were a little overweight too (legion field /attendance issues). But instead of losing weight she got fatter (southern miss blowout) and then left us for an uglier dude who will be much meaner to her. (Petrino)

My point being after the initial shock of being dumped by a fat chick wears off we will look back and be happy that it happened. The End
