Nobody was talking about McGee or Haase until they got announced. I wouldn't be surprised if it was someone we aren't even talking about.

Steve Irvine wrote several articles on who UAB was looking at/interviewing in 2011. McGee's name was listed in all of them........some other names were Paul Petrino, Curtis Luper and Turner Gill. The articles are still out there. Mackin has been a heck of a lot more tight-lipped this time around........kind of like the Haase hire that you referred to.

Gran is a confirmed interview.......Jenkins, nobody has confirmed yet (same with Ron Roberts).

No need to announce interviews with the guys you want. PBJ may cancel your flight/meeting.

Will the Jax State AD announce that UAB has signed Clark though?

True. A lot of times during coaching searches, private planes are used, just so people can't figure out what's going on through FIN numbers.

Hal Mumme first became well known at Valdosta State in GA before moving into D1 jobs. It appears his career is making a circle if he winds up at Belhaven.

if you look at all the names, nobody knew crap for the most part.

sure its fun to discuss but nobody mentioned in the current "Possible Football Candidates" thread is probably going to be hired.
