Unless encouraged to leave this is a bad look for UAB that their HC would rather take a step down to be an OC than be their HC.

WOW... any ideas on potential targets? Guessing that it is either a FCS or SunBelt guy at this point.

If this is true, then that likely means Brohm is staying at WKU and will be our new Head Coach.....I hope, I hope.

Not sure if he was encouraged to leave, but i don't think anyone in the athletics dept is going to lose sleep over the decision

If he turns his back on a program like that then he belongs with Petrino. I really feel bad for UAB fans.

WOw for UAB...I guess though most people were not pleased with him but still but that is bad pub your Head Coach resigns to take an OC position elsewhere...I think WKU will announce tomorrow Brohm as our new Head Coach....

It looks bad, but I'd bet he was encouraged to leave. At the very least, he was sitting on a very hot seat and saw the writing on the wall

The timing is terrible.(a month away from signing day) That is the only thing I'd be really upset about if this is true.

My guess is that he knew he was a dead man walking and felt it was going to be near impossible to play his way into retaining his job after next season.

Horrible timing for UAB.. way late in the process and there is not a lot of solid candidates left for these types of jobs that haven't already been locked in. Is there anyone in house that is a potential HC candidate?

UAB couldn't afford a Sun Belt Head coach right now...salaries don't match.

Every SBC Head coach except Todd Berry is making around the same or more than McGee was reported to make at UAB.

I highly doubt that Alabama Board would give UAB more funds to hire a head coach.

Maybe UAB could make a play for Berry, he's done a decent job at ULM

I wouldn't like it nor am I supporting it nor do I think he would probably take it...but UAB should give Lincoln Riley or someone like him a call.
