Hoops recruits and tidbits
Any word on who JMU is targeting now that Arledge slipped away to ODU?
The roster will need to be enhanced with at least one older player whether it is a grad transfer or a JUCO.

JMU will have 19 home games this year and play on the road at Ohio State.
It sounds like the home game vs UVA will be the same day that UCLA plays the women although game times are split so won't be a doubleheader.

So I guess that was the big BCS level team that was being added to the schedule that someone tweeted about- so 10 OOC home games this year compared with 2 last year- that's a pretty good improvement.

This guy is a long shot for the future but could be a program changer if they ever landed him.

JMU and Oklahoma offerred him yesterday- he's class of 2016. They need to add another big this year IMO after losing out on Arledge.

Papa ndiaye has quite possibly the funniest highlight tape ive ever seen.

All jump shots

Papa N'Diaye GOES OFF against Coolidge at 2014 Co…: http://youtu.be/J4qijpNMjjI

Don't get me wrong, we desperately NEED some solid shooting, even from a pf, but I don't quite envision fundamental basketball and jump shots being associated with "going off" in a game.

That being said, Papa, if you're reading this, do the right thing, become a JMU Duke!

Better video of "Big" Papa N'Diaye here in terms of his inside game, shot blocking, and explosion

question for all of you more in the know than me on these things: is it common for a kid at this level, aspiring to go D1, to have no left hand? I never once saw him touch the ball with his left. strictly righty, no matter where he is on the floor or in the lane. I was thinking it showed a lack of development overall. Am I making too much of this?

Yes, because the level of talent he was playing didn't force him to go left. He could do whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted against those kids. Pretty mobile for a big.

Zeke from Cabin Creek couldn't go to his left, either!

I figured they would showcase him using his left a few times, but I guess you're right. He didn't need to-

That Papa guy (if I got the name roughly right) is a 2016 recruit. Looks like JMU was the first to offer him and then Oklahoma was quick to follow. As I recall, JMU was first to offer Satchel Pierce. Players seem to remember that. Shows that Brady has an eye for talent of course.04-jawdrop

I'm sure he is a talented kid.. but the video just shows him plowing over kids half his size with what looks like zero defensive capability... D1 defense may be a wake up

Keep in mind he's class of 2016. I'm not sure of his back story but his game is still developing. He may even grow physically yet. He'll be on the AAU/All Star circuit and match up against stronger competition to be able to determine how his game translates. Just based on his jumping ability to be able to block shots I'm sure the offer from Oklahoma wasn't the last BCS offer that he will get.
