Losing a coach to a team in a P5 conference is more acceptable to losing a coach to another G5 program I'm guessing. Generally I agree, but if Louisville were remaining in the AAC, I would view them as one of the few exceptions. Their budget and potential are enormous.

Did BP buy a home in Bowling Green? We all knew his stay would be short, he probably had everything in storage.

Mandel at SI.Com rips Petrino hire.

Good read.

Louisville shows it has no shame in bringing back Petrino

He did buy a home....a little under a $1 million home. He's made realtors happy I'm sure.

I am about 99% sure he has been offered the job, I just hope he takes the job at this point!

And for the other poster whining about its not "official", sorry you got your panties in a wad over semantics.....It will be "official" at 1030 EST today, thanks...

brohm was offered yesterday by the ad. i am told he wants it even though i've heard a lot that he could make more money as louieville's OC.

he's suppose to meet with president ransdell today.

he'll never have as sweet a chance to jump to head coach. he's in his home state. western should be competitive in cusa next year. he should be able to keep most of the class together since he recruited a lot of it.

as long as he's the OC under petrino whatever the offense does will never be fully attributed to his skills. many will say the offense is petrino's.

it boils down to does he want to make money or be a head coach and possibly make more money at his next gig.

i'd love t see brohm get the job. it would be a smooth transition imo.

Unless Western low balls JB he will not be making more at UofL as a OC. I would expect Western to offer around $600,000 a year which would be $100,000 more than Shawn Watson made at UofL last year.

But lets say UofL is willing to pay JB $200,000 more and he values that over being a head coach....

it would make me question his drive and judgement because there are no guarantees that any other school will make this offer to become their head coach.
