I thought the 4 guard lineup was all we have seen his year?????????????
Playing devil's advocate, b/c I do happen to think there is a time and place for the 4 guard line up.
There are 2500 minutes available on the court, the 4 guards have gotten 55% of those minutes. In a more traditional line up, they would get 40%. If one of the guys were a true combo / wing (i.e. CDR), you could adapt better, but all 4 of those guards are true guards (meaning they are 1's or 2's, not 3's). We are approaching a point where there are 3 guards on the floor almost all the time and 4 guards on the floor some of the time.
Folks aren't just complaining about the 4 guard line up, they are complaining because we are playing so SMALL.
55% total, but you figure we've had significant amounts of garbage time against Austin Peay, Oklahoma state I, Siena, Nichols state, Northwestern State, and USF. If you looked at meaningful minutes played, I'm sure they'd be up to 65% of minutes at least (since we're never in a 2 guard set with King/Iverson and 2 bigs
Mathematically, it is impossible for it to average more than 5 minutes per game, but when you factor in Woodson, Pellom, Wilson and Iverson sitting entire games or also getting inordinately high minutes in other games; it probably goes up to 8-10 minutes in a few games.
The point about dividing the total numbers into percentages instead of just looking at minutes per game, is very important.

agree. It's not our most common lineup by any stretch, but I bet in big games we average 6-8 minutes in a 4 guard set. A bad thing, since in my opinion we should never use a 4 guard lineup. Our guards do not create enough havoc with penetration and shooting on the offensive end to justify the defensive and rebounding liability this creates

RE: Parrish on why Frank was fired [merged]
Is there some way for people to quit arguing? It reminds me of the commercial where someone says (paraphrasing) "Oh no he didn't! Hold on a second SOMEONE is on the internet has said something wrong! I'm about to go all HAM on his A55 and set him straight! And don't you worry, I'll win this argument!" (paraphrase off) Arguments cannot be won on the internet. All you can do is get more and more ignorant. So please just quit it. Its making me age prematurely.
