This seems...unnecessary.

I know it's unnecessary to warm a car up and it's bad for the environment, etc., but what about the battery? If it sits idle in below 0 weather and its not a new battery, couldn't it lose all or most of its charge?

It is not unecessary to warm a car up in this weather.

RE: Stay warm and dry everyone.
I was going to deposit a check at the drive thru ATM this morning, but the driver's side window would not go down in my car. The bank had no internal ATM, so I will have to wait for them to open.

It is so cold that Pat Quinn was spotted putting his hands in his own pockets. 03-phew

I was going to use Rahm Emanuel for that one, but he is still in Hawaii.

By "unnecessary", you mean a poster commenting about the functionality of his car and getting to work on a (wait for it...) sports message board, right?
Sorry. Just was hoping everyone stayed warm and dry with a short statement about my situation. But the main thing was hoping everyone stay warm and dry. I didn't put it on the other board because far fewer people read that board. Btw, car started fine but was a bit of work getting out of my parking spot.

Hope everyone stayed safe.
