RE: CBS Sports: College Football 2014 Preseason Top 25: A first guess
Oklahoma U loses only 7 of its top 22. Their hot shot run/pass redshirt freshman QB struggled at the first of the season but sparkled when re-inserted towards the very end of the season. Sports Illustrated wrote of his Sugar Bowl performance that "A Star is Born." SI got that one right. OU signed 5-Star RB from California and 4-Star DT within 24 hours of Sugar Bowl victory. Sooners are back.
Sooners appear to have a chance to go undefeated in B12 play and be a part of the 4 team National Playoff.

...agreed... but, their OOC schedule IS pretty tame... WVU, FAU, USM, and W. Carolina... plus, they don't get Mizzou, Georgia, or S. Carolina in 2014...
...of course, playing in the SEC West is enough within itself, of course... thus I see a couple of losses - Ole Miss in Oxford might be interesting, although they seem to historically 'lay an egg' against Bama... then there's Baton Rouge and Knoxville trips (UT may be pretty fair in 2014...and the Kiffin factor will be a nice twist to that game) and homes against A&M and AU should be toss-ups...
The unknown at QB is the big deal... they will plug in replacements pretty easy everywhere else, as usual. 10-2 is my prediction, FWIW (not much, BTW... )

...I kinda think Mizzou will be a bit higher... Mauk looked pretty good, and will be 'the man' in spring, so... they may make it back to Atlanta in 2014...
