Sure, I said the real polls were better than the preseason Phil Steele poll you guys were hyping, which was the context of that conversation. I actually respect the AP a little more and I think most of the nation does. Either way I like actually getting votes in both Major polls myself though and having a higher ranking in EVERY BCS computer poll there is (which CUSA endorsed for judging overall seasons), as well as just about any other poll you can find be it CBSsports, RPI, anyone of the hundred on Massey composite. Hey but to each their own. 10-3 sure feels better.

You know what's even better than polls to determine which team is better?

59-28

Really bro. How did that work out for your 3-9 team that beat us badly in one game when we went on to beat a ranked Boise in a bowl? How did that work out for 3-9 UAB who beat a top 20 USM. It's one game of many in a season of which we beat several teams you lost to, had the better body of work, record and subsequently season according to just about anyone that judges it just like I expected when all the beans were counted 07-coffee3

How did it work out that we played for the conference championship and you didn't? How did it work out that the Military Bowl (CUSA's 2nd best bowl) could have selected ECU or Marshall and selected Marshall? How did it work out that you got to play a MAC team in a bowl game and we got to play an ACC team? How did it work out when we stomped that Pirate ass in Huntington just like I told you we would?

Just stop. You're embarrassing yourself. And please don't call me bro.

Which kinda reminded me of Little Big Horn...

Here is you a thread to discuss your rankings.

...and now you get to wear that groovy cool extra loss around with your 2nd place loser ribbon or one part of the season along. Fits nicely with the other awesome losses to MTSU and Ohio.

You see how much the polls respected a CUSA championship BTW when judging the entire body of work, which is not much.

We played there vs the same home team a couple years ago, why would they want us that soon for the same matchup even. If it were just about fanbases we have one twice as large as your small fry D1aa looking one.

Yeah a MAC team you lost to that we beat, and we beat a better ACC team as well.

When ALL the beans were counted our record was better and our season was graded better by just about everyone just like I said we would. I'll take the respect we got all day and the cleaner looking 10-3.

Why do you do this to the CUSA Board? Can't you just leave us alone and go play in traffic?

Yeah you're right, they didn't want to watch ECU get beat to death again.

I didn't post this thread. I just helped the Marshall fan post all the meaningful polls. THEY didn't seem to like what most of the world says though and want to talk about 1/13 of a season or whatever small part instead of the whole, and have taken it here

That Maryland team finished in the top 25. This Maryland team was pretty weak. Hey but it was your 5th BCS win ever. Congrats.

What poll did they finish top 25 in? That's very important information...

I think my county's Elks Lodge ranked ECU higher than Marshall. That counts for a lot.

It's not really to this thread. Just that Maryland team had a much better season than this years Maryland team since you wanted to draw some inference.

What polls did we finish higher in this year? Nearly all of them but the one where people can easily vote on their friends and personal conference interest. I'll take that including 100% of the CUSA endorsed way of judging overall seasons which was the BCS computers where we had the best graded season on every one.

Yes, Elks lodge is on the level of the Associated Press or unbiased computers formulas made by some PHD's that get paid for their work to help grade seasons by the NCAA. You can just add that poll to the hundred or whatever Massey composite though that has us higher.

You're delusional... That method is a TIEBREAKER method. Which Marshall and ECU don't share.

Which again was for one part of a season, but still their endorsed method to judge the quality of an ENTIRE season. This thread is about judging the entire body of world this season and that was the way they endorsed to judge and overall season. We had the better record to boot in judging an OVERALL season, even if you didn't even want the stronger SOS context.

Why would I want to when there have been months of arguing about who would have the better season. I said all along that we'll see who ranks higher at the end of the year, from the preseason ranking discussions. I expected us to have the better season and rankings and most of the world certainly sees it that way now that all the returns are now in.
