Do you guys keep most of the players left on the team after this season? If so, you're only missing a few pieces before being a really, really good team.

I agree, I was expecting a blowout. Was proud to see them play so hard. I hope they continue to do so after the emotion of the week wears off. Hopefully, the new guys will get into a rhythm. Even though we still have the talent and heart to win some games, I'm afraid our lack of depth will be our demise, especially at the end of the season. On a positive note, we've signed some scoring guards for next year, who should combine nicely with what will be some very experienced inside players. Still would like to see us sign a true point guard.

It was truly a hard fought well played game. UTEP needed a couple of shots to fall or a rebound here and there and things could have been different. Charlotte is a very good team. Do you guys think that playing in El Paso will give you an advantage in the CUSA tournament? I also wanted to comment about a guy on your staff (red head). He wanted one of our big time boosters that sits right behind the bench to be thrown out. I didn't hear him say anything about Charlotte players or coaches so I was surprised. The coach seemed to be a d-bag to me but maybe I am being a homer on that one.

Not the first time we've heard about him being an issue. I've never witnessed it but it is starting to sound like a trend.

Wouldn't be the first time someone wanted that booster (thinking it's the same one) thrown out or called out at least.

That dude was supposedly causing problems at the App game too.

App fans were making fun of our coaches hair and he went off on them about it being disrespectful.

If this is really a trend for Mr. Ginger, then I would favor him being removed from the staff.

Like another poster stated, it is not the first time that particular booster has had a problem with another team. Our security came in and told coach Ginger a sheriffs officer would sit between the guy and the Charlotte bench to make sure nothing further was said. You coach said "I don't care and I want him thrown out." I sit four rows back and was able to hear most of what was said. I was just wondering about it.

The more important question is:
Do you think playing in the El Paso and the Haskins Center will better prepare your team for the CUSA tournament?

Hearing this again about the same staff member bothers me. Hopefully the trend doesn't continue.

He is an assistant DOBO so it isn't like he is critical to the success of the team. I think he is an okay guy in real life, but if this keeps up maybe he needs to find a job that is a better fit.

Having a game under our belt there can't hurt.

I don't see it as an advantage when many of the conference teams play there. Advantage to UTEP only in my opinion.

I'd take Eggie McRae. Or Edgar Moreno. Or Jacques Streeter right about now. CJ's going to going to be under a microscope, but he's playing out of position. He's was advertised as a combo guard, but he's definitely more of a 2 than a point guard. Remember how Chris Craig blew in 2002-2003 and then see what happened when Fili showed up? I just hope that Omega Harris is as advertised. And that he makes it on campus.

While the west teams play in El Paso, several of the top teams do not:
UAB
MTSU
USM
as well as ECU and ODU.

I understand it is an advantage for UTEP but I also thing the teams that play here will be more familiar with everything from hotels, to restaurants and the building. JMO

He is a cool guy, had a class with him. Chat with him every now and then. I just think he really holds Major in high regard for the career opportunities he's given him and doesn't want to see him disrespected.

He's a leukemia survivor and has his own charity foundation because of that, I assure you he isn't a bad guy.
