TSF meals..How come the food at fball is better than at bball?
Is it just me or did anyone else notice the difference in the TSF appreciation food at the FedExForum and the food at the TSF football tent. At FEF we were enticed w/ cold hot dogs, bagged chips and soft drinks. No dessert or booze. At the TSF football tent we have a larger variety no matter who's catering. There is always something there even for vegetarians. That food Saturday was like one of those RC Johnson appreciation deals.

It's just strange that most of the people that donate to TSF do so for the opportunity to buy basketball tickets. Hopefully that will be the case for football, but it's not there yet. It seems like if you are gonna "stroke folk" it would be at basketball games. I mean no booze? I don't (can't) drink but I know a lot of folks do and not having that available seemed short sighted as well.

Also the "crowd control" leaving the arena floor was ludicrous. They made it crowded by the way they were directing people. I assume that was the FEF's
doing. I do some work there and they have strange rules about things.

I gave up on TSF meals at the Forum years ago. Low-quality food, crowded conditions, insufficient seating. I just decided that I would prefer to pay for food on Beale than get involved in the TSF cattle call.

That's OK, they've given up on us as well. This year there are only 4 hospitality events for Basketball. I think they were every game back in 2006, but have been a few less games each year since then.

If they can't afford to do it every game at the forum because of the catering costs they should have an offsite hospitality before the game on beale.

hopefully you guys are donating for the good of the program04-cheers

the difference is probably due to the different arrangements. At football games the food is donated from local Tiger supporting companies. For basketball, the University must buy food from Levy.

At the Pyramid, the Tiger Club rooms were great. Every game, and catered by different restaurants around town. Once we moved to the Forum, the outside caterers were "outa here". It has never matched the Pyramid for food quality, etc.

Because we are a football school and everybody knows football gets all the good stuff?

The first time I realized they were serving hot dogs and chips only, I thought it was a joke. Hot dogs? Rat food.

It's amazing that Levy could not offer something better than that. I will save my time and find some "real" food on Beale at a reasonable cost. You can get good Cajun food at Johnny G's, real veggies at Miss Polly's, and pretty good gumbo at the King's Palace, all reasonably priced. BB King's has a huge menu that even a vegetarian can love, and Blues City has a large menu of good food, too.

03-lmfao uh yeah, that vegetarian meal is awesome ! I had the choice between a plate of slaw (the beans have pork in them) and ???? maybe a bun ?? They finally offered cookies the last game I attended. I was told that they could offer me a salad they had stashed away if I wanted it, uh, I'll pass. Years ago they actually had red beans and rice and it was like I had died and gone to heaven....been begging for that again but no luck so far. So I eat at home before/after each football and basketball game. They make a killing off me because I donate but never eat their food. 03-lmfao I go to the TSF football tent with friends before each game just to watch them eat and socialize. It's worth it, good folks.

Speaking of paying for food.. I felt a little violated paying 16. for a little scrawny BBQ sandwich and a drink yesterday at FEF. If your gonna charge 10. bucks for a sandwich.. give somebody an effin sandwich.

Go hit up the Second Line stand. It's a little more expensive, but the sandwiches are great and a decent size. And you get a bag of chips with it.

I really enjoyed that Super Tiger club room at the Pyramid. Not really sure if that is what is was called but it was just enough room and good enough service to get liquored up at half time. I never ate anything but it seems like they had food in there.

One's outside of section 103. There's supposed to be one in the terrace level, too, but not sure where it is
