AG staying in Miami
Al isn't leaving anytime soon. If he wasn't going to go for Penn State, I'm not sure who else he'll go for. I guess this is a good thing. Time to check out how nuclear the CanesTime.com forums are LOL

Paterno has not been dead long enough to take that job if you have options.

I would hope they go outside the Paterno "tree" for their next coach, but it sounds like that may be difficult.

The shadow of a deceased 4 foot tall man will cast over Happy Valley for decades.

Penn State is not as attractive as you think. O'Brien has several fumy rants to media about "Paterno-ites" and nearly quit several times.

This isn't blind hatred of PSU but leaving South Beach to coach in the Mtn's makes little sense to me.

You would think that, but we have had excellent individuals on defense. It's deeper than that. Our pass defense just sucks and our run defense is marginally better. I have seen bad defenses in my time and this is one of them - though it's not as bad as last year's.

You'd definitely know it if you saw it - our defensive pass coverage is literally the worst I've ever seen. And it's not the players, it's the scheme he runs. MTSU's is better, and they were pretty bad on D this year. EACH play is wide open for opposition and I always cringe when I see the same-old-same-old soft coverage play in and play out. Gosh.
