Well.. I guess someone has to ask...
What adjustments should we make for Louisville? Will we try to go a little bigger and longer or roll with the 3-4 g lineup?

If what you are doing isn't working, you better make changes if you want to see positive results. If the guards start out hitting their shots, it is working. If they shoot like yesterday and the first Okl. State game, you better go big and see what happens.

Simple as that really.

It is not just who is on the floor, it is also who is shooting. If there are only two guards but they are cranking out 17% from 3-point land for possession after possession then it won't matter there are only two.

They won't win another conference game shooting 2-17 from 3 point land. Not sure how you can teach senior guards how to make shots at this point. Memphis plays a lot like an AAU team and most of its players haven't progressed far beyond that level of basketball.

Yep.. I'm not placing blame on these two at all.. but JJ nor Geron have really found the shooting range they had last year. If just those 2 were making shots like last year we probably aren't even having these conversations. That said, it's a new season and this team has different overall dynamics.. if we choose to utilize them.

Geron needs to come to grips with the fact that he is on the floor to contribute defense, and let the other players do the outside shooting. He needs to tone down his thread the needle passing and make the easy pass. He can get his points off of his defense.

Play to his strengths...not his weakness...
