Can't wait to get the conference hoops slate started this week. If I weren't needing to be at work, it would be tempting to drive over and stay with some family I have in Argyle and check out the game Thursday. I know y'all have a mighty impressive win at TAMU.

We barely beat 2 NAIA opponents this year.

That's what I'm thinking. They're playing themselves down awfully bad, aren't they? Sounds like they've been listening to their coach and some good ole fashioned coach-speak.

We're still reeling from the meltdown last season.

That said, it seems like our team plays to the level of competition. So amazing wins against Portland and A&M coupled with befuddling losses or too-close-for-comfort wins to Wayland or Stephen F Austin.

So we may keep it close, but I doubt we beat many teams from CUSA East.

Look at the rest of our season. Until proven otherwise, that game stands as a complete aberration.

If there is any team you guys should feel comfortable about, it's us at home. For some reason, it seems we play better on the road this season.

Don't forget Wednesday's game in Murfreesboro! I will be there cheering on the Raiders and hoping for another 20+ point performance from Ebony Rowe. It will be good to kick-start CUSA play with an old conference foe. Go BLUE!

UNT will lose badly. We just watched a decade of fairly high level, competitive basketball only to see it destroyed in one year. We know this isn't a good team and certainly not a well coached one.

You will get no argument from us...

Have yet to see this year's USM squad put together a complete performance. Hopefully that will happen with this game, or else it could be a little too close for comfort, IMO.
