How did I miss "Saving Grace"?? Started watching last night, really enjoying it so far. Holly Hunter is one of my favorite actresses, and Earl is a hoot. Good show.

I am sure these have been mentioned here, but a few that are absolutely fantastic (in my opinion of course).

I am watching Hawaii Five-0 (the newer one) on Amazon right now. Had to pay for it, but $20 is not bad for 24 episodes. I really like it. There are 5 seasons and I'll probably end up buying them all.

The wife and I have been watching Blue Bloods. Donnie Whalberg? A star? Who woulda thunk it. Show is in it's 5th season...

Been watching The Guardian with The Mentalist guy, Simon Baker.
My daughter is watching Bombgirls. She likes it; she is doing a research paper on women in WW II.

Loved The Guardian. Dabney Coleman was great in that.

I watch that, hard to believe that Tom Selleck just turned 70! Where did that time go?

The first two seasons of The Unit is pretty good but it really tanked after that. Way to much on the "homefront"

Finished watching "Magic City" tonight. Great show. Upscale Miami hotel in the late '50s, mobsters, murder, mayhem, you name it. And nekkid bodies all over the place (it was a Starz original series). Production values were top notch. Loved seeing all the wonderful old cars.

RE: Netflix (TV show suggestions?)
Started watching the "Spartacus" series. Pretty good so far. Lots of gratuitous sex (and I do mean gratuitous) and more blood and gore than a video game. But the characters are engaging.

Loved the slo-mo effect the first time I saw it in "Troy" when Achilles (Brad Pitt) takes a leaping attack at an opponent. Very effective. Then filmmakers took that slo-mo 3D effect to overkill in "300". And now in "Spartacus", even overkill is an understatement. Six episodes in and I'm already weary of it. Four seasons of this? Not sure I'll hang in that long...

never made it past the 2nd season.

You know the story right - they had to change actors because the guy playing the lead in the first season got stomach cancer.

Wow, no, I hadn't heard that. Sad. So I'm guessing the replacement didn't have the same charisma?

I watched the first two seasons and It just isn't the same without him. I actually finished the other day and noticed it was a different guy, looked it up and saw where he had died of cancer, sad indeed.

RE: Netflix (TV show suggestions?)
Ouch. I may have to add disc subscription to my Netflix streaming account. There are a lot of movies I'd like to see that are not available to be streamed. Also, Netflix just added a WHOLE BUNCH of Lifetime movies. I watched one or two just to get them out of my system, and now I'm ignoring all the rest. Just not interested in Lifetime movies at all. However they do have a great collection of foreign films, if you can stand the subtitles (I don't mind them). "Queen Margot" was really good.

Having the Netflix app is great because we have been at a store and found a movie that we might buy, I can check Netflix on the spot and see if it's there. Save $5-$20.
