Your thread title is just a little premature Wilkie. The article mentions that no one is saying what's going on and then mentions the top candidates that message board posters talk about, but nothing more than that substantive.

I don't think any real potential candidates will emerge until Strong to UT is actually official. It's a wishlist indeed.

Chad Morris is on Jurich's short list. Many Clemson fans think he will announce Louisville soon.

I'm kinda curious to why UL fans want Petrino back. Not saying he isn't a good/great coach, just that coaches that return to an old job normally aren't as successful the second time around as their first tenure there.

Look at what he did at Arkansas his last two years before the motorcycle incident...double digit winning seasons and he is available....no brainier...

Not debating that.... Look at Joe Gibbs at Washington, Johnny Majors at Pitt and so on. 2nd time around at a job seems to be a historical failure.

I think because Charlie was a defensive coach, there wasn't a lot of offense other than the bowl games. Bobby's offense was like a video game. Plus he hates Kentucky.

IMO Petrino is a guaranteed winner.

Looks like it is between Rich Rodriquez and Bobby Petrino. Most of us want Bobby. If they brought him back, Louisville would need to add 20K seats to PJCS for the increased ticket demand. Not sure if RichRod would be welcomed by fans or not. Word is he and Tom are already talking per our Scout site moderator.

Rumor is Coach Hurtt would be another Florida connection for both coaches as both already recruit there. I would take either. Would be an improvement offensively over what just left.

Would yinz be able to pull RichRod from Arizona? Interesting name to say the least.

The problem with RichRod is me is married to a system...will not mend it to the current talent on a roster which was his downfall at Michigan. Plus, how much did he win without Pat White/Steve Slaton and he did get Michigan in NCAA Hot water.
