A 5 page thread from an Arizona board on Rich Rodriquez to Louisville.

Arizona Board

Not sure how this would go over in Louisville.

Also, I would keep an eye on Mason at Stanford...in the end I think he trying to get a raise at Arizona...maybe I am wrong...

lol they act like they're more prestigious a program just because they're in the PAC 12. We have more Fiesta Bowl wins than they do and it's played in their home state!

Most of them seem to have a good idea were there program stands but they do look down upon Louisville. Apparently the multiple BCS wins and elite financial resources don't impress them.

They are pointing to this thread on Cardinal Authority:
http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=17&f=2759&t=12548784

Apparently, UA doesn't want to lose RR and Louisville doesn't want him. RR getting a pay raise for him and his staff are probably where this is headed.

I wonder whether Louisville might be able to hire established coaches, now that they are in the ACC. Its always a crap shoot when you hire a coach so it is really important that you get it right. Bobby Petrino is a good coach, he just has a lot of "extra curricular activities" that Louisville will have to be willing to put up with.

I think Rich Rod would be a good option for L'ville.

I kinda like Chad Morris for UL. He already knows a ton about the teams. Has an offense that UL could recruit for. I just think Petrino wouldn't be well received in the league.

If Louisville offers similar money to what they were paying strong to established coaches they want, I believe some of them would be interested because:

1) Significant pay increase for many coaches.
2) less pressure from fans than many established coaches now deal with
3) low cost of living with nice quality of life.
4) best. AD ( Tom Jurich ) in college coaching to work for.
5) continuing to play in power conference (ACC)
6) in good division (FSU CU) at least for now
7) Football program that is still expanding and has a ton of potential.

Thank God...

Howie Lindsey...the Louisville version of Chip Brown:

Source just he believes Rodriguez's stock is falling at Louisville

It appears the Top 2 Choices are Bob Petrino former Louisville/Atlanta Falcons/Arkansas HC Coach and Chad Morris Offensive Coordinator Clemson...just fine with either one...04-cheers

IMO, Morris is a gamble (no HC experience at this level), but Petrino is a sure winner. If it were my decision - hello, Bobby! (if UL doesn't want him, maybe VT can snag him?)
