Duke is only a five point favorite against ND at home, with ND's best player (Jerian Grant) suspended for the season for cheating on a test?

It will end up much uglier than that.

The game's in South Bend. The line's moved to -5.5 now, not that it's much of a change.

I knew it was in South Bend, that is what I meant by "at home".

I predict Duke will win by 15 or more.

State vs. Pitt is on the ACC Network. State looks good so far.

Duke looks really good but just unlucky today. I think Duke will beat Syracuse twice and win ACC this year. Can't wait Louisville/Duke game next year.

Agreed. I was surprised by our play against Cuse today. Maybe we aren't as terrible as we've been playing. Go Canes!

I think Duke's and SU's weaknesses this year were exposed again in today's games.

To beat SU, a team needs to be patient, bring the shot clock down to 10-12 seconds before actually going into their offense and play either a 2-3 or match-up zone on defense and hit their threes. Duke will hit their threes but I don't see them being either patient on offense or playing zone.

To beat Duke, a team needs to offensive rebound exploiting their weakness down low and have a smart point guard who won't get rattled and be patient enough on offense to run when needed or to pass the ball around until a mismatch occurs when Duke' overplays on defense - which is why ND had so many easy cuts to the basket for points. I think SU will be fine in all of these areas.

I see a split in the series this year mainly because the Orange have never played in Cameron before. It wouldn't surprise me to see them have a really bad day there, especially if, as I suspect, SU wins in the Dome first.

Cheers,
Neil

High energy and physicality will beat any team.
But we all have to bring it every night. Looks like more
Contenders out there that I thought. Those games Saturday
Looked like tournament games and it's just the start!
Not sure if we have enough to finish on top
But this is going to be interesting b/c we're so unpredictable.
Here's to a good Season!

Wake looked mighty good tonight. I hope we are returning to the time when anyone could beat anyone and we no longer see Duke and UNC-CH dominating the conference, or in 2014 terms Duke, UNC-CH, and Syracuse dominating the conference.
