But I get what you are saying - there were a number of classes where I was there only because they checked classes for attendance by athletes and we got to run extra if we weren't there. Several times I was the ONLY student in a class until test day, when 39 others magically showed up. I got a lot of studying done in those classes...
That is absolutely incredible/insane. I did a lot of theatre productions that resulted in 4-5 hour commitments 6 days a week, but atleast I wasn't physically exhausted after it. I simply cannot comprehend having practice AND taking 21 hours AND attending all classes.

Back to the thread title, whom is Vandy going to hire? Is Bailiff a candidate?

Heh.
The scoop says they're interviewing a couple of NFL OC's, Brian Schottenheimer and Pep Hamilton, after already interviewing Stanford's DC.

RE: Coaching Carousel 2014
Well, it's funny you should ask. I was wondering where, where, could Vandy find an experienced coach, successful program builder, comfortable working in and recruiting to an academics first institution? Where?
Actually given the unprecedented results James Franklin had at Vandy my guess is they'll look to replicate that by going with a young, high energy, assistant- supposedly the DC from Stanford and the OC from Clemson are at the top of the wish list. But, if you look back, James Franklin's predecessor Bobby Johnson was in both demeanor and background a whole lot like David Bailiff. Johnson laid a lot of the foundation that Franklin built on. Most of the big producers on Vandy's roster Jordan Matthews, Austyn Carta-Samuels, Wesley Johnson were Bobby Johnson recruits.
From what I've heard they hope to have something set by the weekend.

Supposedly offered Stanford DC Derek Mason and hope to be announced this afternoon.

From the scoop.
Despite the eggs laid in the bowl games, seems a good move.
