RE: Tigers open -7 vs Cincy
depends on a couple of factors, imo. Can the tigers turn them over on deflections and getting hands on balls, which if I'm correct I don't think Cincy does that alot, I believe they protect the rock ok. Secondly, will they (Bearcats) get back down the court in a hurry when they tigers are in a full sprint on fastbreaks. These dewds, their offense sputters and is often very stagnant. On defense, I suspect they'll pack it in tight, so ehh our guards will have to shoot a decent percentage tomorrow from 3 or the final score just may barely reach 70 points.

UGLY games like playing a Cincy prepares you for teams like St Mary's in the tourney

RE: Tigers open -7 vs Cincy
i think it all depends on tempo, which I feel is obvious. we play at our pace, -7 is way too low. we play at their pace, -7 is about right.

Don't worry about him, I believe he had an accident and won't be around any longer.

If so, it's about time.

Disagreeing is one thing. Trolling for attention is another.

ESPN Insider says it's not enough. Says to lay the points and take the Tigers.

Highlights:

Cincinnati Bearcats at Memphis Tigers

This is probably the Tigers' best team since John Calipari left town...

Their deep, veteran backcourt is among the best in the AAC, while emerging low-post force Shaq Goodwin and freshman sensation Austin Nichols are controlling both the defensive paint and the boards...

Cincinnati plays defense at an elite level, ranking among the top 20 teams in the country in defensive field goal percentage allowed. The Bearcats have yet to allow more than 67 points in a game...

But the Bearcats are a one-trick pony offensively, relying on Sean Kilpatrick as their primary scorer and distributor...

But with a limited supporting cast around him, Kilpatrick hasn't been able to carry his team to road wins. The Bearcats lost and failed to cover in their only two road games this season (at New Mexico and at Xavier)...

Cincinnati is now 0-6 ATS in their last six true road games dating back to last season. That's a troubling trend that I'm not looking to bet against.

ATS pick: Memphis 67, Cincinnati 58

http://insider.espn.go.com/mens-college-...basketball

OTOH, another ESPN pundit thinks we will win by only five.

http://m.espn.go.com/general/blogs/blogp...rc=desktop

Regardless of prediction accuracy, I will be happy with a win by any margin over Cincy.

Cincy plays ugly...very physical and likes to keep the games in the 50's or so. Their man Jackson will cause problems on the inside but I think we make more shots than they do........Tigers 66-UC 59.

Opinions vary. I just thought it was interesting that at least one supposed expert said give the points.

Also, the best part of your blurb was that guy thinks with Louisville's loss of Behanan, Memphis is now the AAC favorite.

Memphis will win but you won't score as much as some of you are thinking....we will be the best defense or one of the best defenses you see all year. Too bad we can't score worth a darn.

The other thing to remember is, this UC team is used to playing in the Big East, the old Big East where every other road game was against a top 20 team in a tough tough environment...ie, we aren't going to come in and be awestruck. You will win, but we aren't going to be intimidated.

Does Cincinnati play much zone? I only watched them play the other night for a few minutes.
