Lions to interview
News Update: Detroit Lions to interview csnbbs posters in search of next coach. 02-13-banana
Number of online football posts will determine interview times at a local bar.
Previous head coaching experience not required. Internet expertise required.
Candidates from other states will be required to return Michigan for all interviews to prove can handle the weather.

RE: Lions to interview
Tony Dungy says if he returned to coaching, it'd be with Detroit Lions

“I will tell you this, Dan, I think the best job out there is the Detroit Lions,” Dungy said.

If they don't throw 8 million a year at him I think they are stupid.

Dungy compiled a 139-69 record over 13 seasons as head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1996-2001) and Indianapolis Colts (2002-08). He won a Super Bowl in Indianapolis in 2007 and made the postseason 11 times. His postseason record is 7-6.

RE: Lions to interview
I have heard one reason Dungy doesn't get back into coaching is his wife refuses to live anywhere but Tampa area, hates the cold and snow.

RE: Lions to interview
I don't believe Tony is "allowed" to coach anymore. The family went through a tragedy moved to Tampa and Tony coached one more year in Indy as a "going away" type of year. Many may not know he had access to Irsays private Jet that last year, and spent several nights a week in Tampa only to fly in to Indy for early morning meetings. A crazy way to live.
