The Alabama offensive line got beat, all night long. 4 turnovers don't help either.

Agreed but, not to worry, the ESPN guys got all of their McCarron praises, snippets in as planned.

But but Bamas the best team in the country. I'm sure ESPN is confused right now. If Auburn loses they won't know what to talk about. If Duke hadn't blown it against A&M, the SEC would have zero quality bowl wins. And ESPN kept saying how the Big 10 and Big 12 were overated. Turns out there aren't god like conferences. Go Oklahoma St!

Alabama didn't seem like they wanted to be there.... The last 3 or so games of the season for them went down hill.

Heck the super dome wasn't even full.

McCarron was holding the ball way to long all night. Offensive lineman can't keep out rushers for more than 4 seconds.

RE: boomer
I've said it before on this board and was ridiculed. The SEC is the most overrated conference in the country. They play no one in the non-conference portion and since half the conference is in the top 25, they never slip. Then they only jockey for position in conference play. With a good portion of their bowls against the ACC, Big 10 with a smidge of AAC or C-USA's, they have a good bowl record.

RE: boomer
That is why I laugh at some of these spreads set by Vegas during bowl season....The 3 highest spreads, the underdogs won all 3 (Texas Tech, Central Florida, and Oklahoma)....If you listened to the ESPN talking heads, Central Florida might as well been IAA when they were talking about their chances of beating Baylor....Baylor was all offense and no defense and happy Central FLorida took it to them..Bowls are all about who wants to be their more and anything can happen in a month....Oklahoma listened to ESPN tell them they had no chance and Bama players listed to everyong saying they would kill Oklahoma...Got to love sports!

Exactly! From what the media may have told you there is a large portion of USA fans (and Troy) would couldn't care less about Bama or Auburn. I am hoping as our program continues to grow this will be more. Mobile has one D1 school and it is not either of those teams. The majority of Bama fans are not actual students or alumni and will jump off the bandwagon at the first sign of trouble.

attendance at your basketball game against your oldest conference rival in the first conference game of the year says otherwise.

if troy'd had a hoops game last night they wouldn't have had enough people to even open the concessions.

Looking at last night's attendance the whole conference must be obsessed with Bama....

Ga State: 1436
TX State 1595
UTA 1412

Seems like we were right in line with everyone else......

Sounds about right, in the middle of bowl season, school not back in session yet. Gonna have low numbers, just the way it is.
