RE: Attendance...OMG
We have kicked this around forever..weeknight games kill attendance of adult fans because of work...that is what NIU sacrifices for the exposure of ESPN.
How else can out of state recruits hear about us and see us play...
Even people in Nebraska know and talk about us..I know because a good friend living in Nebraska keeps me posted. He wears his NIU hat and people mention the program when they see him around Lincoln

Attendance...OMG
I can see giving up one home game when we have six on the schedule, but last year we only had three home Saturday games and two weeknight games. Terrible setup for season attendance. It would be nice to only have to give up one home game to the weeknight schedule. That allows us five home Saturdays for the reveal game day atmosphere and experience. Also, the MAC wants to showcase its premier teams to the nation (Niu, bgsu, Toledo, ball state, buffalo). Espn doesn't want to televise EMU vs AKRON, unless it's on the ocho. Has the MAC always selected individual games for later in the year? (Seems like Toledo is always weeknight)
