We had a incoming class of 23 which included 2 JUCOs leaving us 21 freshmen out of which 13 played right away. Most of the 13 would have benefited from a redshirt year and would have gotten one in a much healthier program than EMU.

True. They got their baptism under fire this year...

I am with you, we will suck again next year, and probably the year after that.

Dear Friends,
Wow! All the nay saying here. Coach Creighton has not finished hiring a staff. We do not know who will be signing letters of intent, or how many. We still have to see what happens with spring football. I mean, let's relax and have a beer or two.
I do not believe anyone will be predicting winning the MAC Championship, but there is a ton of time before next September. I wasn't a member of this board when English was hired. Was the majority then, saying the same things? If so, then everyone should get to Las Vegas and start making bets on the demise of Eastern football.

That's right. A little of everything in that OOC schedule.

I would try make the trip to Gainesville if you have the chance. A good venue to experience. Saw the Broncos play there in 1999. It was kind of a shoot out. 31-26 FL at the half, then they pulled away and we lost by something like 55-34.

Sounds like FL is going through their version of a Rich Rod phase now and not sure if they'll still be mediocre (by their standards) next season.
