Boeheim: Will Buy Local HS FieldTurf if Cuse Goes Undefeated
Quote:The Jamesville-Dewitt school district is surely rooting for Syracuse to finish undefeated. He was joking, but Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim said at a recent school board meeting that he would pay for the school's new turf field if his Orange went undefeated.

I'm sure J-D would like the chance to try to hold Boeheim to that anyway.

I hope Jim realizes if they do the nearly impossible...they'll be expecting him to fund the turf. BTW, Jim's kids will feed into that high school. Several SU players have graduated from there (recently Rautins, Triche and Coleman)

He should write a "small" check even if/when Cuse doesn't go undefeated.

I agree...I still think he is going to retire within 2 years. I think he wants to watch his boys go through high school. Imagine having your Dad come to your High School BB practice and help the HS coach on the Zone?

I don't think Juli wants him home full-time though. 03-lmfao

Actually, I think the move to the ACC and SU's recent run of success in the NCAAs has re-energized JB. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see him hang on for another 5 years or so.

Cheers,
Neil
