I swore I heard Bridgewater say "My time here at Louisville was great!" at the Russell Athletic Bowl a few days ago. I think I was the only one on earth to catch it or maybe it was just my hearing acting up, but I knew then and there he'd be going NFL...

We all caught that slip...he earned it...04-cheers

Good. Glad I'm NOT going crazy, just yet!! lol! 04-cheers

I don't see Strong in Austin. I think UT is going to (internally) struggle with this next new hire. They wanted Saban, but will have to settle for less. This will be a difficult decision for the UT BOT. Mack was good for them and they will want even more from the next hire & that will be difficult.

You just posted an article about Strong already having interviewed with Texas...

1. Learn at the feet from Saban.

2. Very similar to Gus Malzahn resume...07-coffee3

Malzahn was a high school head coach. He was also a college head coach.

That makes the two situations quite dissimilar.

Pruitt is not going to be there after next year at best...Gus was a college HC For one year at a Sunbelt School

Otay.

Malzahn was also a college OC for 5 years or so prior to becoming a college HC.

Just have a strong feeling if Strong leave Pruitt will be on the short list...many see him as one of the hottest coaching prospects out there plus the fact he is a known recruiter in the South...coached and is from the Saban tree like Fisher and FSU Defense improved even after Stoops left.

If not this year then next year I would be stunned if he is in Tallahassee after 2014. Another person my eye would be on if Strong gets the Texas gig is Jim McElwain...the former Louisville Offensive Coordinator along with the Former Alabama OC...currently the HC at Colorado State.

Statistically, the defense is more or less the same as 2012.

Bottom line which got this whole discussion started....if CCS leaves there is no other AD i trust making the hire....his track record on Coaching hires can't really be disputed and to think if CCS leave UofL will be regulated to the bottom of the league doesn't get it with his track record...07-coffee3

Yea, good point.

If Bridgewater and Strong are gone and you hire Kragthorpe 2.0, UL will be winning a national title in 2015. No doubt.

Trust Jurich decision making on hiring coaches-(ie Jeff Walz, Rick Pitino, Dan McDonnell, Bob Petrino, Charlie Strong etc...etc.)....batting average pretty good...worse case, Petrino if Charlie Strong leaves in 2014....07-coffee3

I think someone is still butthurt over Louisville taking #3 Florida to the woodshed last year when their own team loss to them at home.

For a supposed fan of a program likely to win their third NC this year, the fact said fan spends way more time talking negatively about the ACC as a whole rather than being excited about "his team" has me shaking my head.

The point is, he should be better than 'ok'. 03-wink

I know if SU was playing Monday night for its 2nd championship, I'd be sky high and wouldn't give a crap about Louisville losing Bridgewater and Strong.

After all, Louisville has won 2 BCS Bowls (2006, 2012) and a BCS Bowl equivalent (2004) when the BCS system only had 4 such bowls instead of the 5 it now has. And the Cards have one of the Top 3 ADs in college athletics. What's to worry about?

Cheers,
Neil

Neil...after what the Louisville Program has done the past year and really from where it came from when Tom Jurich took over in 1998 we're good. In Jurich we Trust...only 1 bad hire in 16 years and he corrected that with CCS...04-cheers

If Strong leaves any coach coming in will have 10'Starters coming back on Offense with Parker coming back for his Senior year. On Defense with players that started in 2012-2013 they return 7 Starters.

It is a good situation for anyone if Strong leaves....07-coffee3
