Just to play w/ that figure for a sec.... Who would the PAC 12 and B12 grab to get to 14? I don't like forcing hands.
Noone unless they had a 10 year run like TCU or Utah or developed revenues like Louisville. Only UConn has the revenues and no one has the run except Boise and they don't have anything else to bring to the table, including the fan base to give you comfort they will continue at a very high level.

The downside for the acc is the need not upset the cart and scare school's off the the big 10/sec + such a move does hurt the acc chances to get the hail mary of ND football or texas into the fold. However, i do like this setup with revolving pods.
Pod a: Clemson, GTech, FSU, Miami
Pod b: UNC, duke, UVA, Vtech
Pod c: Nc state, wake, Cincy, Lville
Pod d: BC, Uconn, Cuse, Pitt
9 of the 11 AAC schools were in CUSA. They have CUSA level TV revenues. Disappointing for schools like Houston and Tulane who were counting on $6-$8 million media revenue to help build their new stadiums.

Nice, rotate pods so You face all schools over a 3 year window. 7 games and You can have 1 permanent crossover for #8 and ND rotates for 9th "OOC" game for some schools each year. The Problem here is That It Would Work.

But is it fair to the conferences already at 14 like the SEC, B1G, ACC to have conferences with only 10 -12 schools playing fewer in conference games and competing for the same payout and making more per school without half the effort . If the p5 structure stands with the New rules every conference should have an equal number of schools.

A rumor of #Cincy and #UConn to the ACC next week has suddenly been floated around in some circles.
Per this twitter account it is being floated around. A 16 team football conference, and 17 basketball. Lets see what Tuesday this happens.
Unreal, simply unreal that anyone would buy this horse ****. BC, FSU, Miami, GT, Clemson, NC State and VT are not voting for UConn to join the ACC. It only takes 4 no votes to be blackballed in the ACC - that means turning 3 of the 7 definite no votes. How much annual cash do you think it would take to change NC State, VT, and Miami - the three that are less adamant against UConn than BC, FSU, GT, and Clemson.
It would probably take no less than $5-$7 million a year per team. On the top end that would be ESPN paying some $156 million more to the ACC on an annual basis, raising TV from $22 to $29 million in the 2015 time frame. $134 million on the low end, raising ACC TV to $27 million per team by 2015.
You just aren't going to change the no votes against UConn for a few million dollars.

BYU. They're at the top of the list by far, if anyone can put up with their egos, their Sunday restrictions, and their disdain for academic freedom.
