in the Midwest.

I know fans would like for the MAC to have an outdoor game say at Comerica Park but really take the chance.

Just a few days ahead, here is what Green Bay is looking at for their NFL playoff game.

http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/green-b...ecast/1868

I remember when I lived in the Detroit area, I didn't even want to drive to the old Detroit Olympia to watch a Red Wings game when it was zero at night. Ugh!!!

Who is saying that?

Besides, college football fans believe the season should end on Jan 1.

Why would any of us want a game at Comerica Park?? We can't even fill the lower bowl for the MAC title game at Ford Field. Comerica Park would just be an embarrassment.

It isn't normally that cold at the very beginning of December when the MACC is played.

I admit it. I'm not tough-guy enough to sit in that sort of bitter cold for 3+ hours to watch a sporting event. That's when the sports bars or the HDTV in my comfortable living room look really good.

This is also the reason why Green Bay still has 10k unsold tickets as of New Years Eve.

Plus I think Green Bayers dont think they have a shot against the 49ers apparently.

That's just crazy. I would be miserable for the 20 or so minutes that I could actually stand it.

The PAC and MWC have that set up game at higher seed .

The MAC doing it would work out better except for one thing .
Most of the stadiums shoot the TV footage towards visitors side so less impressive looking on TV. Camera placement would need to be better it would help Maction as well .

I don't really get why stadiums do that. Showing the press box side for Toledo games would look so much better on TV, I'm sure this is the case for other schools as well.

I feel like moving to the game to Crew Stadium would work, even if it is in the same city as O$U

I'm going to take a guess and it is that MAC stadiums have much easier to locate cameras within the press box areas.

For some MAC stadiums, the visitor side has nothing which could be used for camera locations.

When I think of Rynearson, where would they put a camera, in the middle of a section of concrete seats?

I would think that camera locations should be built into stadium modernizations.

All of the TV plug ins and cabling is on that side of the stadium. Plus it's the only place to park sat and production trucks with out laying out a ton of cable. That's why.

Excellent answer.

I think the corollary is that television production, like most other things, comes at all price points.

If we had a game at a MAC stadium between a nationally ranked MAC team vs. a nationally ranked opponent then ESPN might opt for a more costly television production with more HD cameras and cabling.

I don't remember but what was the television like for the 2012 MSU @ CMU game??? Were there television cameras on both sides of the field, end zones, etc.

Gotta remember you can string out so much cable before losing signal quality from the camera, especially at football stadiums where cable has to hidden so there are no trip hazards. Plus the guys that usually set up and tear down that stuff are bitter union guys, that don't want to do all of that heavy lifting. So shorter the cable runs the better. LOL
