Our students are not back yet so they are working on a marketing campaign to get people to come to the game by advertising 1$ tickets! PLUS, hotdogs will be #1 also! Heck, 2$ for a ticket seeing two top-100 RPI teams battle it out plus a bleeding weenie! That's a steal!



Anyway, as far as the game goes....Drexel had a WTF loss a few days ago to 5-4 Buffalo, so they are probably wanting to rebound after that. We just beat a scrappy Rhode Island team at their place 64-77. Our guys are glad to be a home.

Not a game to take lightly, as Drexel has played up to its competition in the past. They lost 72-67 to (then) #22 UCLA to start the season and lost a close one to (then) #4 Arizona, 66-62 in late November. They're coming off a close loss to Buffalo, so I expect the Dragons to play with some purpose and attempt to win this one on the rebound. Speaking of, you'll need to crash the boards early and often to negate their advantage there. According to ESPN, Drexel is averaging 39.4 rebs a game, as compared to your 34.1.

Is it televised?

One of those games that will make the resume look good if you win it. Truth be told, USM is really the only team that has a resume that could be considered boardline for an at-large bid if they don't win the conference.

Didn't they do this the last couple of years as well for the first game of 2014?

If this is becoming a marketing tradition, I like this idea being a regular thing.

Love bruiser. Great coach. Watch him walk to the middle of the court. Chance of him getting t up? Very good. He got them all the time at odu.

Bruiser is a show all to himself. He'll grab his junk, walk out onto the floor, curse, yell at his players and whine like a baby b...., but once the game is over so is the show. He'll shake your hand, smile and walk off court win or lose.

Total rebounds isn't the greatest measuring stick. Pace of play has a lot to do with how many a team grabs. We allow our opponents less than 30 per game while Drexel is allowing almost 37.

I don't know why this game wasn't picked up preseason by CSS or CBSSports or one of Fox's gazillion channels?? Who is playing on those channels tomorrow night?
