Just wondering if Mackin meant for this to be a positive tweet or was he preparing UAB for tough times ahead?

My guess would be that he intended it to be positive.

Normally he would not be one to openly discuss tough times ahead via twitter.

That's a very poorly worded tweet regardless of the sentiment behind it.

Turn...I believe the word he was looking for was turn. We will turn the challenges into opportunities. Because if we are making the opportunities and they come by way of challenges, then we are actually creating the chall...oh, nevermind...make was the right word after all.

We need an AD who is a better tweeter

If Mackin was smart enough on January 1 to realize that Texas was going to hire Strong, and Louisville would inexplicably hire Petrino and then Petrino would hire MCGee and McGee would accept, then he is smart enough not to have hired McGee in the first place.
